For anyone who may know... Mr. Jerry R. is about a squirrely a character as they get. hehe Im not one to talk, b/c im a little snakey at times too. Anyhow i just want to give props to my sketchy friend Jerr. He has come a long way from renting apts w/ 50old fat women! stay squirrely!

So Rob B. gave me a call up...
"Hey Adam, are my boards done yet? i fly through LAX in 2days for a trip to OZ!"
(Previously he told me Take your time! so i hadnt even started the boards of course? hehe) Immediately i knew i had to go to the store buy some beer in order to bribe the glassers to squeeze in one more rush job! Come in on Sunday to sand the boards myself, drove up and met him up in the Train station, just intime for him to rush back to LAX to catch the flight... Typical Rob fashion, however we did get the boards done, and he actually got a barrel!(last wave of video) So Rob u owe me a 2nd beer for that one:)

Not only did Rogers surf his way through the Finals, but he won most of his heats including the Semis in solid hurricane swell. Beating out very tough competition... the likes of (TimCurran, AsherNolan, KalaniRobb, Alek Parker, ToninoBenson, and many more)
There was a strong showin of AJWs in the contest, and thanks to SW for puttin on a great event!

Hey adam, i got a funny one for you... The waves were really fun here yesterday, and i surfed til about 9 at night. when i get out, i made some dinner and i was watchin THE WEATHER CHANNEL

hahhaha. my friend was right on the inside paddling back out and he was looking at me so i claimed it as a joke. little did i know that it would show up on the weather channel to haunt me. "weak... hahha good stuf buddy!"

Isaac again! Goin for broke on ol yella!!! (7'8"AJW quad lasted 1 full season down in Puerto, till now...) Keepin the stoke alive for all of us !!!

Well after spendin the entire coldseason in hawaii. He is back in NC, and still rippin. A few weeks back he sent in some sic shots scorin epic hatty... he seem to be enjoyin the fruits of NC, instead of posting those shots, i think these do equal justice. Slater baggin the big ones "norcakalac" style. Gotta Love IT!!!

where's ol Tyler V??? apparently gettin some head dips in Pascuales. he headed south about month or two ago. picked up a new pintail + another channel bottom, and left.. not sure but i think he's gonna teach english down there?. probably wont be back for quite awhile. Bueno Suerte AMIGO!!!

Heres a guy w/ a story... His name is Aldo from la Libertad El Salvador. For those of u who know, should get a good laugh out of this one... knowing i have been keepin in touch w/ him throughout the years. I met him almost 8 years ago in a bar down in mainland mexico (tres diablos). He was workin there at the time. ... we partied, surfed, had a good time, but never thought to keep in touch. All i knew was he was leavin mexico to go stay with some chick in Canada? haha A few years later i had a friend go on a trip to El Salvador, claimed he had some local guy run up to him askin where he got his boards from, sure enough it was ALdo. another year passes i get word he is livin in LA (he sent me some email of him skateboardin?) now think how random this is... hardly know the guy havnt talked to him in years, but cool enough to send me sic skateboardin shots ha . Sure enough, a few months later i get another email: "Adam im workin in a pizza shop in NY, come by and visit?" i think he thought NC was right next to NY? Now some time passes, i end up goin on a campin trip down in Baja one weekend. wake up early mornin to go surf, then see some van pull up with 4 chicks, and whos in the back seat? ALdo Luna... it was classic! funniest thing ive seen. Apparently he was livin and workin in Tijuana? sketchy but he said he loved it? we had a great laugh. i gave him my board to go surf (bareback and freezing) then we parted again.Just yesterday, i receive this email "mente limpia en ULUWUATU"... he is stayin, surfin in BALI, for who know how long? the reason i post this... is for all u guys out there wishin this or wishin that. Here is a guy who comes from El Salvador, has very little money, isnt some pro surfer, doesnt expect to get anything out of his surfing. However knows he loves to travel and wants to go out there and surf good waves. The epitome "if theres a will theres a way"...
Thank you ALDO for the inspiration to travel... we dont even know each other, but i hope the best for u, and keep travellin buddy!!!

Isaac on a old ajw that he says was ok but too light... broke it (puerto eats boards daily) now its heavy as shit, and claimed he loves it. ha lesson to be learned... only bring heavy old clonkers to puerto the bigger the better... only way to catch the bombs. Titties!

little "bucknasty" just showed up to CA to pick up some new boards.
... the kid is fucken classic! if anyone was wonderin... i was skeptic of any hyped-grom, but the guys surfin really is phenomenal. The videos dont give him justice. We ended up taken him down to baja for alittle hotsauce. Inbetween doin a ridiculous amount of airs, reverses, + passionpops...the kid ended up rescuin 4 mexicans from drownin. Local savior! it was hilarious... I was just goin into the beach i had mexicans tryin to give me hugs! ha i didnt know what was happenin, i turn around, theres BB doin another crazy air to the beach, w/guys runnin over to him to thank him. and prior to that the whole time i was worryin i'd have to explain to his mom how i got her son robbed down in mex. haha it was Great!
